Earlier this year I was given the opportunity to attend INBOUND 2018 in Boston for work. INBOUND is the annual conference hosted by HubSpot, which I use daily at work. Since I had never been to Boston before, I decided to extend my trip into the weekend to explore the city. I asked a few friends and family members if they’d like to meet me, but the timing unfortunately didn’t work for anyone. Despite this, I decided to keep my flight and hotel and explore the city on my own. I’ve traveled alone in the past, but it’s been awhile!Read More
It's hard to believe 2017 has already passed! While I'm trying to plan some things for 2018, I always like taking a look back at the previous year and where I was able to go.
In 2017, I traveled to Charleston/Isle of Palms (numerous times), Athens (three times), London (to celebrate my birthday!), Kiawah Island, Winston-Salem, and Orlando/Walt Disney World. Looking back, I'm so thankful for all the trips I was able to take and the time I was able to spend with friends and family. Here are a few highlights:Read More
I recently traveled to London with my dad for 4 days and 5 nights. Like I’ve said in the past, I love London, and although I’ve now been 6 times, I would never turn down an opportunity to go! Our main reason for going this time was to attend a Premier League game (Arsenal vs. Lincoln City). My dad played professionally in his early 20s and I played for a bit growing up. It’s always been a dream of mine to attend a Premier League game, and the experience was definitely one I won’t forget!Read More
In mid January I traveled to Charleston, South Carolina with my mom for a long weekend away. We left late in the afternoon on a Thursday, and came back mid-afternoon Sunday.
Upon arrival on Thursday we headed straight to Poogan’s Porch for dinner. Poogan’s is one of our favorites, and we always try to make it in for a meal! We shared a plate of fried green tomatoes, and I had the short rib ragu as my entree. I’d highly recommend checking Poogan’s out! After dinner we headed out to Isle of Palms, where we were staying for the weekend. Isle of Palms is only a 25 minute drive from downtown Charleston, which makes it ideal for staying at the beach but getting to experience Charleston as well.Read More
