How to Help

I had originally scheduled a post about my trip to Boston, but given the devastation in the Carolinas because of Hurricane Florence it just didn’t feel right. Instead, I thought I’d share some ways you can help those affected by the Hurricane if you feel lead.

Charity Navigator is a trusted resource for vetting non-profits across the United States. They’ve put together a list of organizations that are directly helping those in need…check out the list here.

Last year when Hurricane Harvey hit Houston and southern Texas, I heard about Team Rubicon through Good Morning America. They’re offering help in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. You can read more about the work they do, and make a donation, here.

Here in the Carolinas, we’re pretty proud of our Carolina Panthers. Even after the Panthers lost to the Falcons, Coach Rivera made sure to bring awareness to those in need by wearing a #CAREolinas t-shirt in a press conference. I’m planning to purchase a t-shirt, of which 100% of the proceeds go to the North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund and the One SC Fund.
